4) How to add a page
To add a new page, click on "Create content" on the left sidebar. You can create several types of content on this site. The most important type is "Book page". A "book" is a group of pages that are collected together. This allows the website to atumatically create links to help users naviate through the site. Enter a title and a body. Every page must have a title and a body.
Book outline:
After the page body, click on "Book outline". On this website there is one "book" for each language: English, Deutsch, Español, Esperanto and 中文. When you create a book page, you must specify which book the page belongs to. Click on "Book outline" and select a book. A book can have sections and subsections. For example, in the English book, the page "Lesono 1" belongs to the page "Kurso de Mondlango". You can set the page hierarchy in the same place where you choose the book.
Weight:
Under "Book outline" you'll see a drop-down field called "Weight". You use this to define in which order the pages appear. Pages with a higher weight appear further down (they "sink"). For example, if you want the page "Kurso" to appear before the page "Howto", you can give Kurso a weight of 1 and Howto a weight of 2.
Pretty URLs:
By default the page URL will be something like "node/234". It is a lot better to use meaningful, memorable URLs for every page. For example: mondlango/en <- English section. mondlango/en/kurso <- Course in English. mondlango/en/kurso/lesono_1 <- First lesson. Just below "Book outline", click on "URL path settings". Enter the URL path you wish. For example, the URL path for this page is "en/howto".
5) Uploading files
To upload a file, go to "My account". Below your user name you will see "View", "Edit", ... "File browser". Click on "File browser". On the new page, click "Upload". Choose the file, and then click on the Upload button. Done. Now where can we find the file? Under "Navigation" you'll see that you are in the directory files/userN where "N" is a number. That means that your file can be downloaded from: http://daniel.carrera.bz/mondlango/files/userN/YourFile.doc Note that only the following extensions are allowed: Images: gif png jpg jpeg Documents: doc xls ppt odt ods odp Archives: zip The maximum size per file is 5MB. The total disk quota is 50MB. If you have any questions, or want any changes, please contact the webmaster at "dcarrera[at]gmail[dot]com".
